Frequently Asked Questions

Clean your knife by hand with warm water and mild soap immediately after use. Dry it thoroughly before storing. Avoid dishwashers, as high heat and detergents can damage the blade and handle.

Wash your board with warm water and mild soap. Never soak it in water or put it in the dishwasher. Apply our maintenance-oil once a month to prevent drying or cracking.

Depending on how often you use it, we recommend sharpening your Shinrai knife 2–5 times per year.

All our knives, cutting boards, and knife blocks come with a 7-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Orders are delivered within 1-3 business days, and shipping is free on orders over €60.

We offer free shipping on all orders above €60.

Wooden cutting boards are the best choice for your knives. Unlike aluminum or glass boards, which can quickly damage the blade, wood is gentle and helps maintain sharpness. Our wooden boards are also free from chemicals and harmful substances, making them both safe and durable for everyday use.

No, we strongly recommend hand washing your knives. Dishwashers can damage both the blade and handle. Rinse your knife with warm water, dry it immediately, and store it safely for the best longevity.
